Course Details

  • Course Length: 8 days of classes (3 hours each class). Group meets 1 day per week for 8 straight weeks.
  • Class Schedule: Please refer to our calendar
  • Total cost of the class is $1,750. Students can use ShopPay on our website to easily split your payments with Pay Installments. 
  • Class includes: all of the ingredients for the first cake baked in the class and a completion certificate issued by Cake Art (if the course is completed satisfactorily).
  • Students will be required to bring their own tools and materials to every class. A list of tools/materials will be provided once registration is complete. Eachh student will need a 6" x 4" round cake mold for the first class. If students have this cake mold they can bring it to the class or they can also purchase the cake mold at our store.
  • Students will receive 10% discount for purchases made the days the have class.

From learning a more advanced way to cover fondant cakes to perfecting the art of isomalt uses, fondant decoration techniques, various textures, gold leaf application, wafer paper use and more! Our expert instructors will guide you through each step, providing personalized tips and tricks along the way.

Whether you aspire to impress friends and family with show-stopping cakes or dream of starting your own cake decorating business, this class will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to turn your creative visions into reality and into a profitable business. What you will learn:

  • A delicious vanilla cake
  • Perfect and smooth ganache recipe and application
  • Coverture of cake with fondant (2 different ways) for perfect finish
  • Decorating techniques (including but not limited to crackling, textures, gold leaf, ruffles, marbled look, waves, 3D rose effect, uses of isomalt, wafer & Vietnamese paper, movement techniques and the use of the airbrush)
  • Students will learn how to use and make special effects for their unique cakes that will impress their customers
  • In addition, students will learn to how to design their cakes, how to talk to clients and negotiate the best prices.
  • Making a profitable business by understanding how to structure costs.
